About the role:
This role will be an integral part of our people team and will play a critical role in aligning people and business strategies, building our brand and shaping our culture. As a trusted People Business Partner at Accompany Health, you will have the opportunity to truly feel the impact you make on the business. You will work closely with the people team and market leadership to execute strategies, programs and processes that drive engagement and performance excellence. This role will support employees, management, and leadership within assigned business areas within the market.
There is the potential, over time, that we will experience rapid growth, so we are looking for a highly agile thought partner who is comfortable working with different areas of our rapidly growing organization. The role serves as a collaborative advisor to local leadership on all people strategy related matters to drive retention and engagement. This role assesses and anticipates people-related needs and provides proactive solutions and support to market leadership. You will be a key player in creating the foundation and the long-term vision of our people team function. You will report to our Senior People Partner and partner closely with other members of the people team as well as other internal and external partners.
Responsibilities will include:
- Act as the main point of contact for employee relations issues within the assigned market. Work with both employees and managers to address issues on the ground by providing counsel, guidance and dispute/conflict resolution to complex employee matters.
- Effectively balance responsibility with employee advocacy and build a positive employee relations culture and work environment.
- Acts as a change agent/leader and culture steward. Embed themselves in the market and become an ally to both leadership and employees as the main face of the people team.
- Help execute learning & development initiatives applicable to the assigned market.
- Implements and leads action plans within the market to improve employee engagement, manager effectiveness, and foster equity and inclusion.
- Champions and supports People Team service delivery processes.
- Consult with all levels of field management on a variety of HR areas and provide useful guidance.
- Work closely with talent acquisition managers to ensure the region is efficiently recruiting exceptional talent.
- Assist with facilitating succession planning to ensure the region is proactively planning to avoid talent shortages and that a bench of capable talent exists.
- Partner with field management and training to ensure all employees are progressing in the company’s various training and development programs.
- Work cross-functionally to identify and develop HR solutions that will ultimately improve business results through lowering turnover, increasing retention, developing high-performing coworkers, etc.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests and inquiries to support business leaders in a timely manner.
- Successfully manage through ambiguity and change leadership as we scale and grow in both new and existing markets.
- Maintain knowledge of employment regulations and industry trends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Travel to other markets and other onsite company events as needed.

Desired skills and experience:
- Required
- 3-5 years or more of relevant HR experience with focus on resolving complex employee relations issues within retail, hospitality, call center, healthcare, or hospital setting
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field
- Strong knowledge in all federal and state employment laws
- Strong knowledge of all issues related to non-exempt employees
- Strong critical thinking skills with methodical approach to problem solving
- Passion and drive to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
- Strong understanding of HR functions, methods, strategies, procedures, and policies
- Track record of building relationships, coaching and leading groups through all aspects of people management
- Ability to drive company vision and purpose - explains the why’s to create organization-wide energy and buy in
- Experience supporting both exempt and non-exempt workforce
- Preferred
- Experience as an HRBP or Employee Relations Specialist in a variety of settings (startup, corporate, retail and/or healthcare settings)
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or similar field
- SHRM-SCP Certification
