Description
TechOp Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Privacy Analyst to join our team. This role involves integrating privacy considerations into various programs, handling ad-hoc requests, and researching/drafting/reviewing policy documentation in support of the DHS Privacy Office. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, the ability to multitask, and a talent for prioritizing and pivoting between tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development and Review: Draft, review, and update privacy policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with DHS and federal privacy regulations.
- Privacy Assessments and Audits: Conduct privacy assessments and audits to evaluate client compliance with privacy regulations.
- Privacy Integration: Work with various programs to integrate privacy considerations and ensure adherence to privacy standards.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential privacy risks and recommend measures to mitigate those risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure privacy considerations are integrated into business processes and systems.
- Regulatory Updates and Guidance: Stay up-to-date with privacy laws and regulations, and provide guidance to clients on compliance requirements.
- Incident Response: Assist with managing privacy incidents.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to privacy policies, compliance efforts, and related activities.
- Ad-Hoc Requests: Respond to ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information.
- Multi-Tasking: Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Priority Management: Quickly pivot and reprioritize tasks based on emerging needs and changing priorities.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in privacy, policy development, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and pivot priorities effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for documentation and analysis.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with federal privacy laws and regulations, including the Privacy Act.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or other relevant certifications.
- Experience: Previous experience working within a government agency or in a role with significant policy development responsibilities.
- Education: Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate
