A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a specialized ASR-9 Radar Technician that is highly motivated and skilled to join our engineering organization in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
Essential Job Functions:

  • Troubleshoot, analyze and determine operational issues and recommend solutions.
  • Design, develop and test modern solutions to incorporate into existing systems and equipment.
  • Generate installation and test procedures for system modification and verification.
  • Perform all aspects of system verification, including all phases of the testing process.
  • Develop and execute test plan and procedures in an operational environment.
  • Direct and coordinate with outside vendors to manufacture prototypes and production units including development of Manufacturing Specifications.
  • Research new technologies that would be integrated in the ASR-9.
  • Provide 2nd level engineering support to ASR-9 modifications installed in the field including onsite or over the phone.
  • Provide 2nd level maintenance and engineering for data management as well as for operational subsystems of the ASR-9.

Other Job Functions:

  • Provide authoritative leadership and technical advice to other members of the team.
  • Participate and lead technical interchange meetings.
  • Conduct or participate in formal and informal reviews at predetermined points throughout the development life cycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and participation in Process Improvement.
  • This position might be required to travel throughout the country to different Radar Sites to support local technicians in maintaining and modifying equipment. In this position, travel is not a priority however availability with short notice to do so, is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:

  • Knowledge of test equipment including oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator and logic analyzer.
  • Proficient in analysis of existing Requirements, Testing and Compliance Procedures and Documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of related experience including at least five (5) years of NAS experience OR
  • Associate degree in a related field and eight (8) years of related experience including at least ten (5) years of NAS experience OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and six (6) years of related experience including at least ten (5) years of NAS experience.

Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required.
