Like our small business customers, we are a diverse team of builders, dreamers, and entrepreneurs who are driven by core values and operating principles that guide every decision we make.Reporting directly to Pie’s Vice President of FP&A, the FP&A Manager will be responsible for leading Pie’s financial close and consolidation process along with supporting key operational business teams, acting as a trusted advisor to the departmental leaders and helping them to analyze, manage, grow, and optimize the business. This involves partnering with the finance and accounting leadership team and department owners, leading and improving the monthly financial close process, supporting the planning processes, ad hoc analysis, developing key management reporting/dashboards, and assisting with analytics/reporting architecture.
How You’ll Do It
- FP&A Consolidation & Systems
- Lead and enhance the monthly financial close process and prepare presentation material for our monthly results to senior management
- Lead the financial forecast consolidation process and create supporting material for senior management
- Own and improve Adaptive Insights, leading through change and support adoption for automated reporting and better business insights
- Work with the broader finance team to consolidate the annual plan with a focus on the underlying assumptions and drivers of growth and profitability
- Drive and manage portions of our quarterly Board of Director materials with a constant focus on improving the quality of the materials
- Work closely with the People and Talent team to inform headcount, hiring, and compensation decisions
- Collaborate with FP&A colleagues to inform near- and long-term financial forecasts
The Right Stuff
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or related fields is preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
- 1+ years of managing a Financial Planning System, preferably Adaptive Insights.
- Experience using Workiva is preferred.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
- Advanced modeling skills for use in forecasting and budgeting.
- Strong finance acumen and financial analysis skills with a high attention to detail.
- Exceptional analytical skills and natural curiosity for how a company’s financial metrics and KPIs indicate its inner workings with a preference to base decisions on data and ROI.
- Ability to identify areas of opportunity and drive projects from planning to completion.
- Experience in managing multiple work-streams end-to-end along with working across multiple functions and teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with business stakeholders.

Unless otherwise specified, this role has the option to be hybrid or remote. Hybrid work locations provide team members with the flexibility of working partially from our Denver office and from home.
