The Hatcher Group seeks a strategic, detail-oriented outreach and engagement specialist to support virtual, in-person, and hybrid events across the US. Partnering collaboratively with field teams to reach various audiences, the Outreach and Engagement Specialist will support communication strategies, event execution, and webinar logistics. The selected candidate will also be expected to contribute positively to a team environment rooted in the firm’s core values, upholding our community guidelines.
At Hatcher, we proudly maintain a "flexible first" work culture. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance to our Bethesda office for weekly in-person collaboration. The target salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and internal equity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, oversee, and execute outreach strategies and associated content development as necessary.
Support strategic outreach tasks including SMS/MMS messaging, email campaigns, events, and webinars.
Refine messages to meet objectives and develop content using dynamic content blocks.
Conduct message testing in collaboration with team members to implement tracking mechanisms, define KPIs, and generate actionable insights that enhance the effectiveness of outreach efforts.
Monitor engagement metrics, analyze audience behavior, and provide recommendations for improving campaign performance.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to refine webinar content.
Schedule webinars and support logistics, including tech support.
Support event logistics and attend field events as needed (up to 20% travel).
Provide input to post-event reports.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an agency setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
Ability to work independently and manage projects in collaboration with others.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, project management platforms (e.g. Asana, Monday.com, or Basecamp), video conferencing/webinar platforms (e.g. Zoom), and SMS/MMS messaging platforms (e.g. Medallia).
Flexibility to quickly adapt when “pop up” and other high-priority needs that cause priorities to change.
Experience working under pressure with deadlines is critical.
Ability to speak, read, and write English with proficiency.
