The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems and equipment for industrial automation projects.
They will work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, and electrical engineers to ensure that control systems are integrated effectively into overall project plans. This position requires a strong understanding of control theory and the ability to program, test, and troubleshoot control systems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for industrial automation projects
- Develop and implement control algorithms and software for PLCs, HMIs, and other control equipment
- Perform system testing, integration, and commissioning
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including control system design documents, functional specifications, and user manuals
- Provide technical support to project teams, including troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project meetings
- Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of industrial automation and control systems
Qualifications and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in an industrial automation environment
- Strong knowledge of control theory and experience with programming PLCs, HMIs, and other control equipment
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profibus
- Experience with programming languages such as ladder logic
- Familiarity with industrial control system hardware and software
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with battery technology is a
- Allen-Bradley, Siemens & Mitsubishi PLC experience preferred
Work Schedule
- The standard work hours are from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, but the candidate is required to attend meetings in the evenings on weekdays or even on
