MCA holds a place as an SCN Top 50 Systems Integrator worldwide and possesses an excellent track record of completing high-profile projects with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.We are looking for experience, skilled service technicians with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial integrated security systems and strong experience installing Genetec systems is highly preferred.As a Genetec Field Technician at MCA Communications, you'll be adept at servicing and troubleshooting all Genetec systems.
This role requires the ability to interpret building and electrical plans as part of the troubleshooting process. Moreover, building strong customer relationships to ensure their needs are met is crucial. Emphasizing professionalism and effective communication is paramount in this position.We offer comprehensive training, including in-house, manufacturer, field, and industry-specific training.Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain security systems including video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on security equipment
- Respond to and resolve security system malfunctions and emergencies
- Conduct system upgrades and implement new security technologies
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to integrate security systems
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Provide technical support and training to staff on security systems
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in physical security systems or related field
- Strong knowledge of video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems
- Familiarity with networking and IP-based security technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to read and understand wire schematics and blueprints
- Relevant certifications (Genetec, Hanwha, Axis and Bosch) are a plus
- Capability to work independently and exhibit self-motivation.
- Proficiency in hardware, software, and programming of access control, alarm, CCTV, and intercom products.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.

- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to high-quality work.
- Clean driving record.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver license
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a drug test
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends when needed)
- Must be able to meet physical requirement of construction - lift items up to a minimum of 50 pounds, work in the elements (heat, cold, wind, dust, debris, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Abilities:
- Lift up to 100 pounds at one time and at least 50 pounds for an extended period of time.
- Fully utilize and relocate a 10-12 foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet; can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
- Full ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, turn, twist, crawl, squat, walk, climb, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see the differences in colors, shades, and brightness
- Possess the ability to understand and communicate in English at a minimum conversational level.
- Meet any and all OSHA safety requirements.
Compensation:
- $18 - $21 per hour
- Per Diem and lodging for out-of-town work
- 5% pay increase on 3rd shift
