For more information, visit piano.io. Position OverviewWe are looking for the intermediate backend engineer to the team creating realtime and non-realtime reports from big data.This role has the following responsibilities:
- Creating new and comprehensive reports tailored to business needs.
- Maintaining and continuously enhancing existing reports to ensure best performance, accuracy and relevancy.
- Actively participating in the estimation of work efforts and timelines for various tasks.
- Engaging and collaborating with teams from other product areas to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, with a minimum of 1 year of practical experience.
- Solid experience in SQL, also with a minimum of 1 year.
- A strong understanding of columnar databases, which is critical for performance and efficiency.
- Proficiency in the English
Additionally, the following experiences and skills are considered advantageous and will be viewed as a plus:
- Hands-on experience with MySQL, which would enhance our database management capabilities.
- Experience working with Snowflake, contributing to our data warehousing solutions.
- Previous experience working in multinational and globally distributed teams, demonstrating the ability to collaborate across different time zones and cultures.
- Russian language
