Position Description:
Ardent and their partners are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and cleared Network Engineers to join our dynamic Infrastructure Team. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert in network hardware and software configurations, providing critical support for end-users and systems requiring timely solutions. With your extensive expertise in LAN, WAN, MAN, load balancing, and wireless administration, you will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure.As a Network Engineer, you will utilize advanced network diagnostic and management tools to conduct packet and traffic analysis, ensuring robust network environments.
Your responsibilities will include project planning, implementing best practices for system design and configuration, managing change procedures, and streamlining incident resolution. Your familiarity with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security standards will enable you to incorporate these protocols into effective IT solutions.Your demonstrated working knowledge of Verizon and AT&T WAN (MPLS, vBNS) and expertise in escalation and circuit management processes will be crucial. Additionally, your skills in software-defined networking and hyper-converged network products will ensure our infrastructure is cutting-edge and resilient.With specialized experience and current certifications in Juniper, Riverbed, F5, and Nutanix products, you will bring up-to-date knowledge and skills to our team. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Network Configuration and Support: Act as a subject matter expert in network hardware and software configurations. Provide critical support for end-users and systems requiring timely solutions.
- Troubleshooting and Technical Support: Leverage fifteen years of experience to troubleshoot and support end-user or system issues. Utilize network diagnostic and management tools for packet and traffic analysis.
- Network Administration: Demonstrate expertise in LAN, WAN, MAN, load balancing, and wireless administration with ten years of experience. Manage and optimize network environments for performance and reliability.
- Project Planning and Best Practices: Plan and execute projects using best practices for system design and configuration. Manage change procedures and streamline incident resolution processes.
- Compliance and Security: Incorporate the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security standards into IT solutions.
- Telecommunications Expertise: Demonstrate working knowledge of Verizon and AT&T WAN (MPLS, vBNS) and handle escalation and circuit management processes.
- Technical Communications: Provide clear and effective technical communications to achieve customer satisfaction. Work alongside USSS staff from the Network, Cyber Security, and Server sanbhnjhm5Mbranches to provide technical support.
- Software Defined Networking: Demonstrate expertise in Software Defined Networking products and support.
- Hyperconverged Network Support: Support and maintain hyperconverged network products.
- Specialized Product Expertise: Apply five years of specialized experience and up-to-date training in Juniper, Riverbed, F5, and Nutanix products. Maintain a current Juniper certification.
- Technical Writing: Utilize demonstrated experience as a technical writer to document processes and communicate technical information effectively.
Requirements:
- Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI)
- Current Juniper Certification
- Subject Matter Expert in network hardware & software configurations and support
- Highly skilled (15+ years’ experience) in troubleshooting & supporting end-users and/or systems requiring timely solutions.
- 10+ years of demonstrated expertise in LAN, WAN, MAN, load balancing & Wireless administration.
- 10+ years of demonstrated knowledge utilizing network diagnostic and management tools to include packet and traffic analysis network environments.
- 15+ years of demonstrated expertise in project planning and best practices setups, change management procedures, system design and configuration planning practices outage analysis, and streamlined incident resolution.
- 10+ years of familiarity with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security standards and the ability to incorporate them into IT solutions.
- 10+ years of demonstrated working knowledge of both Verizon and AT&T WAN (MPLS, vBNS), escalation, and circuit management processes.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical communications with a strong desire to achieve customer satisfaction; will work alongside USSS staff from the Network, Cyber Security, and/or Server branches to provide technical support.
- Demonstrated expertise in Software Defined Networking products and support. Demonstrated expertise in hyper-converged network products and support.
- 5+ years’ specialized experience with up-to-date training in Juniper, Riverbed, F5, and Nutanix products
- Demonstrated experience as a technical writer; documentation skills should be second nature
