Clinical Informatics Specialist
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, has an opening for a Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our firm. This role will focus on developing a new clinical informatics service line for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The role will involve both client work and the creation of innovative informatics capabilities and solutions to enhance care delivery for Veterans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Our key areas of focus include education and training, human-centered design, change management and performance improvement, clinical informatics workflows, analysis and policy, technical operations, while growth opportunities in informatics policy analysis, documentation and interoperability, systems design and engineering, and risk management and security.
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics, or related field; MD or clinical background preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical informatics with direct experience in the VA or other federal heath clients.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical terminologies, and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations relevant to the VA.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Proven ability to identify and help resolve issues and risks.
- Proven ability to lead a team ensuring that all requirements are fulfilled.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain a public trust.
