In this role, you will manage the delivery of paid audience, measurement, and advanced analytics strategies for a portfolio of agency clients across B2B, destination, arts, entertainment, and education verticals. You will also lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing strategists to deliver data-driven solutions to support or exceed client goals. At every juncture, you'll work closely with other Mission team members to achieve (and celebrate!) satisfying and successful results. We're looking for a data-minded leader ready to think creatively, share their unique perspective, and work collaboratively. This position is hybrid within our office in Baltimore, Maryland, Tuesday through Thursday, with two hybrid days a week on Monday and Friday.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of marketing professionals to meet and exceed departmental and client goals.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional media channels that align with business objectives.
- Contribute actively to developing and delivering compelling new business pitches, leveraging innovative strategies and insightful presentations to captivate potential clients and secure valuable partnerships.
- Responsible for planning client campaigns, ensuring proper messaging, managing media budgets, analyzing results, and negotiating with media vendors for favorable rates.
- Present complex marketing concepts and become a data storyteller, capable of inspiring our clients and teams.
- Utilize data & analytics to measure campaign effectiveness, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Manage and optimize digital marketing and advertising platforms, including Programmatic DSPs, Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and other relevant channels.
- Reviewing metrics for key channels and campaigns and synthesizing key insights and recommendations to enhance future initiatives including reporting on concluded campaigns and presenting results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and alignment with overall marketing goals.
- Oversee website content and performance, ensuring a seamless user experience and alignment with marketing initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, applying innovative approaches to marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated self-starter who can handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintains a professional, can-do attitude at all times and values collaboration.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Business Analytics, OR equivalent professional work experience. MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience developing marketing strategies and executing data-driven media buying and planning.
- 5+ Years with traditional & digital media planning/buying including TV, print, radio, OTT, OOH, digital, search and social media within an agency environment.
- 3+ years in a supervisory role (manager or director) at a marketing agency, leading, training, and growing a team with diverse skill sets.
- Strong established relationships with media partners, including managing media budgets, analyzing results, and negotiating with media vendors for favorable rates.
- Proficient with reporting and analytics tools.(GA4, Looker Studio or Datorama, SuperMetrics or equivalent)
- Experience with Programmatic DSP, Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, TikTok, etc paid media platforms.
- Previous experience supporting business development/sales in an agency environment.
- Demonstrated project management/director skills and ability to collaborate, multi-task, and prioritize competing priorities.
