What’s Interesting About This Role?
We are seeking an innovative problem solver to join our growing Paid Media Team as a Media Buyer, Paid Social. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize performance, reach, and customer acquisition within self-service paid social media platforms (e.g., Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit) to achieve our quarterly revenue and gross profit goals. The ideal candidate is agile, passionate about paid media, and has a strong background in using data to drive success.
This independent contributor role reports directly to the VP of Digital Media.
How Will You Make an Impact?
- Develop and implement scalable paid social media campaign strategies for our listicle/advertorial and Financial Planning categories on major social platforms.
- Manage monthly paid media budgets to meet revenue and gross profit margin (GPM) targets.
- Provide recommendations and execute strategies for pricing, ad copy, campaign structuring, targeting, creative, and inventory management.
- Navigate compliance and targeting requirements to promote offers effectively.
- Manage end-to-end paid social campaigns, including budget allocation, bidding, performance analysis, and optimization to ensure KPIs are met.
- Stay current with the latest trends and features on major social media platforms.
- Demonstrate proficiency in navigating algorithmic platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Communicate reporting, results, strategic initiatives, and growth opportunities effectively to the team.
- Use data to guide decisions and actions to scale revenue and GPM.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, content, and analytics, to optimize channel performance.
What Will You Bring to Us?
- A minimum of 5 years of high-level experience with top social media platforms, managing monthly ad spend over $100k, preferably in the financial category.
- Experience managing content arbitration and/or advertorial style campaigns with high media spend.
- Understanding of direct marketing creative best practices and experience optimizing for campaign performance.
- Proven ability to create and manage social media and various marketing channels from inception to completion.
- Expertise in managing paid social algorithms and leveraging technical solutions for meaningful results.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, attribution, ads implementation, and platform integration.
- Experience in strategy development, problem-solving, and results communication.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite, Google Ads, and Bing Ads.
The salary for this role ranges from $90,000-$120,000 per year, depending on job- related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
