Here at Deputy, we know that diverse perspectives foster the innovation we need to be successful, and we are committed to building a team that encompasses a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skills.The RoleAs a Principal Payroll Product Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our organisation, in partnership with the Customer Team leadership, by designing, overseeing and maintaining the build out and ongoing maintenance of operational capabilities and support for Deputy’s Payroll Product.

In this role, you will work closely within the Customer Team  to design and develop the processes that enable self-serve onboarding and implementation for smaller customers, professional services implementations for larger customers, and ongoing support. You will collaborate closely with Deputy’s product, finance, and legal teams, as well as critical third parties, to deliver scalable and secure solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Responsibilities


  • Participate as a critical member of the development and GTM team in developing Deputy’s new Payroll platform. 
  • Design and develop robust and scalable onboarding, implementation, and support processes for Deputy’s payroll platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in defining business requirements and translating those technical solutions that align with our platform architecture and scalability goals.
  • Implement best practices for ongoing improvements to Payroll Operational processes.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to maintain technical documentation and provide support for internal stakeholders, including customer support and operations teams.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to propose and implement improvements to our payroll CX.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Payroll team.

Skills & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years experience in Payroll or Workforce Management companies.
  • Understanding and expertise of payroll regulations, specifically in Australia but global experience preferred.
  • Experience in working in teams that are building and taking to market 0 to 1 products. 
  • Experience in building operational ecosystems supporting internal teams to drive high quality and scalable customer outcomes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for creating high-quality customer solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
