See Arkestro in action at arkestro.com.As our Data/ML Engineer focused on productionization, you'll work closely with our Data Science team to transform validated proofs of concept into scalable, production-ready machine learning and data applications.

You'll be the key link between innovative ideas and their practical implementation, ensuring our cutting-edge solutions can be deployed efficiently and maintain their effectiveness at scale.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to understand their prototypes and translate them into production-grade code
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines to support machine learning models in production
  • Build on the data motion infrastructure and MLOps/Deployment infrastructure maintained by data engineer colleagues
  • Develop and maintain MLOps infrastructure to streamline model deployment and monitoring
  • Optimize data transformations for performance and reliability
  • Implement best practices in data security, quality, and governance throughout the productionization process
  • Contribute to the strategic roadmap for data and model infrastructure
  • Continuously improve our processes for moving from prototype to production
  • Communicate technical concepts and project statuses to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Necessary Qualifications


  • Strong software engineering skills, particularly in Python
  • Experience with MLOps tools and best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Knowledge of data pipeline tools and ETL processes
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and their practical applications
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Ideal Qualifications


  • Experience with dbt for data transformations
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of procurement and/or supply chain data models
  • Prior experience in enterprise software and startups
  • Familiarity with Ruby
