About the Role:
Zilliz is seeking motivated people with a passion for cutting edge technology and the drive to build an incredible career in Saas sales. The SDR Manager role is a hands-on player/coach role that will play a critical role in the growth of our organization. The individual will work in collaboration with sales and marketing nurturing leads and setting qualified discovery calls that ultimately lead to new business and new revenue. With your passion for technology and determination to succeed, you will aid businesses in realizing their full potential through the strength of Zilliz. While the role will initially start as an individual contributor, the goal will be to build a team and partner/support with our outside sales team and marketing organizations.
The role will be based in the Redwood City office and you will be expected to be working in the office 5 days a week (Monday - Friday).
What you will do:
As the Sales Development Manager you will be a driven professional leader with a natural inclination for building high performing sales development teams. This is a player-coach opportunity. In this role you will get to build, coach, and lead a team that focuses on prospecting into our ideal customer profile. You will drive success through cross-functional initiatives, while working with our outside sales team and marketing.
- Manage all inbound SQLs and qualify/progress to the next sales stage.
- Create a framework and build repeatable outbound plays for target accounts.
- Recruit, coach and mentor SDRs once processes are established.
- Continually and closely manage, train and mentor the team.
- Develop the sales, product, and industry skills of each team member.
- Develop monthly, quarterly and annual lead management goals and plans.
- Consistently achieve quarterly and annual lead development objectives.
- Develop and execute an effective annual business plan to reach lead management goals, including incentive plans for reps and metrics.
- Act as a champion for the forward momentum of the company.
- Provide feedback on the quality of leads driven by marketing and marketing communications teams to create an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence (i.e. best practices).
- Identify, utilize and optimize all company collateral to support lead development efforts.
- Partner with sales and marketing to align goals and ensure ongoing refinement.
What we are looking for:
- A passion for technology and software sales
- 3-5 years of customer facing experience is strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of management experience is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with tools and systems such as Excel, Hubspot, Tableau, etc.
- Ability to develop strong, long-lasting relationships (both internal and external)
- A sense of urgency and ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- The ability to thrive in a company environment of rapid change; reacting to management initiatives; taking the "customer view"; adopting customer corporate ‘perspective’; accepting change to business/personal situations
- Resourcefulness and results driven operating style
- Collaborative and coachable mindset - you should be excited about continuously improving your skills and impact
- Ability to motivate high-volume, goal-oriented lead generation reps on a proactive and sustained basis.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for handling both staff and external customers.
- Proven record of meeting/exceeding established goals.
- Identify ways to define and refine lead generation and lead management processes.
- Evaluate prospective database needs and requirements.
- Experience with recruiting, training, directing and motivating staff.
