About the role:
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer you will build the algorithms and models which solve our customers' toughest problems. You will work closely with our CT experts to understand our 2D and 3D datasets and data characteristics to design strategies that allow us to identify if the items we are scanning in our Neptune and Triton systems meet our customers’ quality criteria. Successful techniques will include analytic, computer/machine vision, and machine learning approaches.
What you'll do:
- Build algorithms and models to turn 2D and 3D datasets from Lumafield Neptune and Triton systems into decision-making platforms to meet our customers’ needs
- Develop and improve models for segmentation, classification, anomaly detection, and more
- Guide the machine learning strategy internally and set Lumafield up for success on both customer-specific and generalized use cases
- Implement production-ready code in Python for deployment onto our cloud and edge systems
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary stakeholders across Engineering to design solutions and approaches to our toughest problems
About you:
- PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience applying machine learning in industry
- Are a phenomenal technical communicator who can collaborate across discipline boundaries
- Experience shipping Python code to production environments
- Experience with Data Science techniques in professional environments
Bonus points for:
- Postdoc in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics or related field
- Track record of well-cited/awarded publications on relevant topics
- Experience with algorithmic optimization in C/C++
- Familiarity with techniques applied in medical imaging (CT, MRI) or other inverse problems
$160,000 - $200,000 a yearThe base salary range listed here represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.
