Here at Deputy, we know that diverse perspectives foster the innovation we need to be successful, and we are committed to building a team that encompasses a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skills.The Role:We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our SMB sales team and drive the adoption of our SaaS solutions among small and medium-sized businesses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in SaaS sales, a deep understanding of the SMB market, and exceptional leadership skills.

Responsibilities


  • Sales Strategy Development: Assist your VP in developing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand our market presence within the SMB segment. 
  • Team Leadership: Lead from the front by providing consistent coaching and mentorship through 1-on-1s, team enablement sessions, and pipeline reviews, using the sales tech stack and AI tools to uplevel our team. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to develop and close lead opportunities, resulting in new revenue for Deputy to exceed sales goals, ensuring a high level of performance and professional growth. Work closely with sales leadership, marketing, and reps to develop and ensure lead quality, quantity, and purposeful follow-up. 
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships by understanding customer needs.  
  • Sales Process and Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. 
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth within the SMB market. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and continuous improvement of our SaaS offerings.  
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Drive a performance culture within the Account Executive team. Coach and develop your team for success in their current role while preparing them for what’s next in their Deputy career path. Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the team’s performance as well as accurate forecasts to sales leadership based on individual performance and historical trends.

Qualifications and Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus. 
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in SaaS sales, with a focus on SMBs. - Demonstrated success in a sales leadership role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. - Strong understanding of the SaaS business model and SMB market dynamics. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Experience with Groove, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, Linkedin Sales Nav, Loom and Gong
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

$175,000 - $231,000 a yearThe pay range for this position takes into account multiple factors that are all considered to determine an individual candidate’s starting pay. These factors include but are not limited to: market factors, experience, technical and non-technical skills, education, certifications, and other business acumen. This range does not include any potential incentive programs, such as individual or organizational performance bonuses. For candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, the pay range for this position is 201,000 - $231,000.For candidates based outside San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, the pay range for this position is $175,000- $201,000.
