Marketing Technology Manager!
About the role:
The Marketing Technology Manager will work across internal teams and external partners to deliver on the Marketing & Sales technology roadmap. This includes standing up new capabilities, integrating technology into our stack, developing and optimizing automations, and maintaining the level of quality needed across our digital channels.As the Marketing Technology Manager, you will champion the configuration and maintenance of the tools in our existing tech stack, as well as propose additions as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the solutions and vendors in the revenue tech space and will be comfortable proposing and executing strategies that optimize existing and net new tools and processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Backblaze’s RevOps technology stack from an integration, maintenance and optimization perspective.
- Bring efficiency to the go-to-market teams by owning the technical setup and management of marketing and sales tools.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the technology stack, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
- Own the marketing & sales architecture as well as how this integrates with the broader company architecture
- Ensure the efficiency and effective use of resources
- Partner with internal stakeholders in architecting and implementing integrations between marketing and sales tools.
- Monitor integrations to ensure things are working properly and work with Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Data and Engineering teams to resolve issues that arise
- Use custom integrations and APIs that are able to improve our tech setups
- Support architecture and other cross-functional projects, working to understand functional requirements, interacting with various teams to architect, design, develop, test, and deliver.
- Gather, define, and document business requirements; align on project definitions; and troubleshoot production issues
- Maintain documentation of all integrations
- Change management, including implementation of new marketing and sales technology rollouts
- Lead vendor renewals, upgrades and contracts, working with appropriate internal teams
- Monitor the performance and health of our marketing technology platforms and diagnose issues
- Develop and oversee the calendar of operational upgrades, enhancements, and changes. Manage communication around objectives, status, and issues.
- Proactively explore data flows across our marketing tech stack to find areas for optimization
- Follow and assess emerging marketing technologies as applicable to the current revenue tech stack
- Identify new opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the tech stack, scalable processes, and work methods.
The Right Fit:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technology discipline or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in marketing technology engineering and /or operations
- Advanced Salesforce and Hubspot development experience preferred
- Advanced Google Tag Manager configuration experience preferred
- Advanced BigQuery configuration experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of go to market systems best practices
- Proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining complex marketing technology stacks.
- Hands on configuration and/or development experience
- Experience leveraging APIs
- Ability to triage problems in a practiced, measured, best practice
- Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team, build strong relationships, solve problems, improve processes, analyze trends, identify efficiencies, and champion change
- Proven track record of owning processes, working cross-functionally, and building
- successful marketing technology stack and flows
- Experience working cross functionally with product marketing and engineering, data warehouse and operational functions, and marketing owners
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
