ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Coordinate and participate in job awareness meetings.
  • Assist with creating and modifying project budgets, plans, schedules, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, details, takeoffs and RFMs.
  • Identify, document, communicate, and track project issues.
  • Work through Purchasing to secure needed resources and assist with coordination of delivery.
  • Assist in securing required project permits.
  • Facilitate procurement of required contractor/project bonds.
  • Management of contractor/project insurance requirements.
  • Prepare bid documents and provide assistance through the entire procurement process.
  • Perform contractor change order preparation, tracking and implementation.
  • Request, document, report, and invoice for completed work and material on hand/in storage. 
  • Prepare and process general conditions and project-related service costs.
  • Create subcontractor payment applications and authorize payment for subcontractors.
  • Establish, organize and maintain project folder and documentation.
  • Work with project teams throughout the project to ensure timely and on-budget completion.  
  • Visit project jobsites as needed for visual progress updates.
  • Provide assistance and support for various office administration tasks and activities.
  • Lead and coordinate project closeout activities and post-project review.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:


  • Work experience in a construction management, administration, or planning position.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Knowledge of construction industry contracts, practices, processes, and standards, and their impact on project activities.
  • Familiarity with construction safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in using computer applications to include Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) CMiC and Procore preferred. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. 
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements. 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented. 
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.

  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, identify gaps and implement innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency.
  • Ability to complete work accurately, efficiently, and timely under minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands
  • Sitting or standing for up to eight (8) hours per day.
  • Lifting and / or exerting of force up to 30 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds frequently.
  • Occasional walking, bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.
  • Visual acuity to drive a motor vehicle, read printed material, and read electronic documents.
  • Hearing capacity to receive, perceive, and react to common office environment noises.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate, handle, and feel.
  • Occasional travel by motor vehicle, driving for up to eight (8) hours per day.
