Job Description
Crown is looking for Construction/Plants Technicians to work alongside our Electronic Installation Technicians in the installation of radio communication facilities. This position requires 100% travel. Work days are Mon - Thurs 6 AM - 4:30 PM. Job duties Include:
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Trenching
- Pulling and securing cables up 60’ towers
- Installation of underground conduit and cable
- Exothermic welding
- Calculate concrete requirements, pour, & finish
- Operate Skid steer and mini excavator
Qualifications
Candidates must have experience with site construction, electronics, and / or telecommunications, preferably with the installation and integration of FAA communication equipment / systems. Must have plants technician experience and a basic understanding of the use of manual and power tools.Other job requirements:
- This person must be willing to travel 100%
- Must have a Credit Card with good credit to be reimbursed weekly travel costs
- Must have multiple years of construction experience and have experience with common hand-tools/power tools
- Must be willing to climb towers (often 60+ feet) and have the ability to pass a Competent Tower Climbing class
- Must have a valid, current driver’s license
- Much be able to pass a Government background check
- Ability to engage in hard physical work for 10-hour workdays
- Must be able to problem solve construction dilemmas and determine the most efficient process
- Operate Heavy Equipment
Entry Level -
High School Diploma
Mid-Level - Associate Degree or a 2-year training/certification program in a relevant field and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.Lead Level - Associate Degree or a 2-year training/certification program in
relevant field and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant
experience.*Four (4) years of relevant experience over and above the minimum experience requirements for the position will be considered equivalent to an Associate degree.
