Job Summary:


The Forklift Operator is the main certified operator of power equipment in the warehouse. In this role the associate is the material handler for the facility, and is responsible for the movement of product to and from locations beyond the reach of the regular floor personnel. This position must be able to perform all of the processes of both the Warehouse Clerks I and II and able to provide support and back up as required by the daily workload and staffing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Performs daily responsibilities and priorities in a safe and organized manner.
  • Loads and unloads deliveries and shipments
  • Picks and puts away product that is located in overstock locations.
  • Consolidates pallets in overstock to maximize available capacity.
  • Able to successfully complete proper Hazardous Material Handling and DOT compliance certification course.
  • Performs Warehouse Clerk I and II functions when necessary.
  • Maintains a clean and organized warehouse and work space at all times by “cleaning as they go” and putting equipment and tools back where they belong at the end of each use.
  • Sweeps and scrubs floors.
  • Assist other functions within the warehouse as necessary.
  • Other tasks as required.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:


  • High School diploma
  • Driver’s License
  • 2 years Forklift Experience
  • Self-motivated
  • High sense of urgency
  • High attention to detail
  • Takes initiative
  • Able to work as a team.
  • Able to communicate with peers and leadership
  • Problem-solving/troubleshooting ability
  • Ability to perform multiple task and switch between priorities.
  • Willing and able to be certified to drive powered equipment in a retail environment.
  • Dependable, responsible and willing to accept accountability
  • Comfortable working with tables and PC’s
