For more information about Collegis Education, please visit www.CollegisEducation.com.The SIS Administrator will provide technical support to the Student Information Systems including Jenzabar CX/EX/J1 On-prem, Hosted, and JaaS Applications. This position will interact with multiple departments in an academic setting as well as Collegis internal teams to manage timelines and deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities, Essential Functions and Requirements:
- Act as a technical resource for Student Information Systems and related projects.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Work as a team member to set up and maintain end user support for the Student Information Systems.
- Communicate with software vendors and act as liaison in resolving general operational problems and technical issues.
- Perform routine file management tasks, including transferring, loading, archiving, and converting data for purposes of managing, maintaining, and securing student information.
- Develop and/or Maintain 3rd party software integrations using API’s, flat files, etc. as required to maintain data synchronization as specified.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify changes in process and necessary system configuration to support the college.
- Prepare written materials (IE: reports, documents, etc.) for the purpose of documenting processes and providing instructions to others.
- Respond to Cherwell tickets as assigned and document and resolve within guidelines.
- Organize and prepare system software documentation, procedural documentation, and operations instructions to promote efficient utilization of system software.
- Work with System users to provide maximum ROI for the institution.
- Prioritize and multitask workload to accomplish necessary duties on schedule.
- Assist in configuration, setup, and conversion of systems.
- Work closely with SIS users to identify software issues and work with the appropriate vendor(s) to take corrective action.
- Submit enhancement requests to vendors as appropriate.
- Adhere to and enforce the appropriate information security policies based on the sensitivity of Company data and report any security related issues.
- Adhere to and enforce the appropriate information security policies based on the sensitivity of Partner Institutional data and report any security related issues.
- Reduce risk of theft, fraud, or misuse of information assets by acting as the data steward for the application(s) you administer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of Higher Education practices, procedures, and standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Jenzabar CX/EX/J1 Student Information systems.
- Strong comprehension of MS SQL Server, SQL language, Stored Procedures, etc.
- Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, at appropriate levels, both in oral and written form using a variety of communication methods and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback.
- Ability to compose correspondence, reports, and/or other required written materials.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of Company and Partner Institutional data, especially regarding Student data and information.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, inquiries, and/or complaints.at the appropriate level.
- Display courtesy, tact, and respect when working with others.
Education, Certifications and Licensures:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of SIS Administration in lieu of degree
