Job Description
A Business Development Representative will thrive in a flexible and diverse environment and accelerate the success we are achieving. A Business Development Representative is responsible for initiating new outbound sales opportunities, focused on making first contact, generating interest and qualifying leads by inspiring their ability to use aerial imaging to make their work processes more efficient and effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify leads and build a qualified pipeline of customers.
- Proficient in identifying key decision makers in prospect organizations to find additional sales opportunities.
- Map key stakeholders, technical requirements and business process on all deals.
- High volume prospecting of new business opportunities utilizing cold calling, digital and online prospecting techniques, including Account Based Marketing tactics.
- Demonstrate results in solutions-based selling process and handling common objections with ease
- Drive additional revenue opportunities by applying incremental programs or projects initiated by sales management
- Set appointments for qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representative for closing
- Manage database in a timely, efficient manner.
- Manage a database of leads in Salesforce.
- Ensure critical data points are enriched for analysis of mid-market and strategic account management performance (annual revenue, total employees, SIC code and description).
- Efficiently process all opportunities, tracking, reporting and maintaining them until they are established in the sales pipeline.
- Compliance with Nearmap values, policies and standards, and ensure compliance with all local statutory requirements.
- Complies with responsibilities of working for a public company.
- Complies with all local legislative requirements.
- Adheres to company guidelines and the corporate Code of Conduct.
- Where appropriate keeps up to date with legislative requirements.
- Acts in an ethical way when dealing with company assets and other people.
Qualifications
Key Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of prior lead generation / business development / inside sales / account management.
- Successful quota or KPI/KSO attainment with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Experience hunting and prospecting new business opportunities
- Previous experience making high volume outbound calls
- Sales experience in SaaS- renewals or subscription sales model.
- Experience using Salesforce .
- Sound business acumen and previous experience accurately forecasting and reporting on territory /account activity.
- Ability to work independently and also in a structured, disciplined sales environment.
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
- Positive and energetic.
