In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction to meet or exceed established targets and increase our market share

What You'll Do:


  • Lead a sales team that consistently and profitably grows revenue for the business at or above predicted growth rates
  • Execute and manage the sales strategy for the sales unit by working with management to develop a strategy for obtaining sales goals, improving results, increasing efficiency, and growing overall business.
  • Bubble up frontline trends and identify new market and product opportunities for action by management.
  • Assess existing talent and hire, develop, and retain a high-performing sales team
  • Own new hire training program to improve time to first sale and increase sales team member success rates.
  • Create and implement KPIs and metrics (revenue and operating) to measure performance and productivity
  • Provide the sales team with the tools necessary to hit goals and coordinate with other departments and management to remove roadblocks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and management experience.
  • 5+ year sales management experience
  • Experience selling into the commercial sector highly preferred 
  • Hands-on coach with the proven ability to measure and drive performance as well as provide real-time coaching and career development plans
  • Proven track record of success driving revenue through discovering, prospecting and creating new business
  • Create a culture of accountability by driving consistency, rigor, and discipline in all parts of the sales process
  • Excel at team building, managing a variety of personality styles and sales experience levels
  • Strong presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
