As an IT Security Engineer at Forcura, you will be responsible for protecting our computer systems and networks from security breaches and cyber threats. You will develop and implement security measures, monitor and analyze security incidents, and work closely with other IT professionals to ensure the integrity and security of our IT infrastructure.

- Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer, or CISO, to design and enforce technical controls, security policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect the organization's information systems and data.
- Continuously monitor network traffic and security logs to detect and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and manage security incidents, including breach detection, response, and recovery. Implement incident response plans and procedures in alignment with Forcura’s incident response protocol.
- Configure and maintain security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protections solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Participate in security assessments, audits, and risk analyses.
- Oversee the delivery of periodic training programs to raise awareness about security best practices and policies among employees.
- Maintain comprehensive records of security incidents and responses. Prepare detailed reports on the organization's security status and incidents.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- 2+ years as a hands-on security engineer and/or equivalent working experience
- AWS, Azure and Microsoft 365 administrative experience
- Experience in firewall configuration, management, and hardening
- Experience in evaluating infrastructure, key processes, and technology-oriented risk issues, specifically around security, BCP and privacy in a healthcare setting
- Must be willing to work independently and/or as part of a team in an energetic, team-oriented environment managing systems of varying complexity with a fast turn-around time where accuracy and attention to detail is key
- Strong communications skills – must be a team player in a best-idea-wins culture
- Interest in providing security technical review and mentorship to team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CCSP, AWS/Azure security certification, CISSP or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Healthcare compliance experience is desired
- Experience in implementing one of the following is preferred: SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST, EHNAC, ISO 27001. Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with security technology vendor management
Work Environment
- This role reports into Forcura’s Jacksonville, FL, home office.
