Job Summary
The coordinator is responsible for clinical services provided to children, adolescents and/or adults, as assigned. The clinician is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities. Will work closely with case managers and help manage scheduling.The coordinator would be responsible for providing clinical support for the Highwood community and community programing/events. Will work with the Highwood school districts to provide after-school programing related to expressive therapy, social emotional learning and skill building.
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Provides Art Therapy, Counseling, Case Management and Crisis Intervention to Clients and their Families (Provides high-quality service and maintains direct service hours per month of 30% with a minimum of 15 clients)
- Creates IMCANS (IATP) Assessment (Completes IATP within 30 days of initial meeting with client, modifies and reviews as needed, updates and records IATP in CIS as needed and ensures updates are completed prior to six months due date)
- Provide support for the Highwood community and participate in community outreach activities (30% will be outreach and community support)
- Program planning and development and other administrative work 40%
- Manage and coordinate scheduling with case managers and therapists
- Point person for community requests
- Meeting with Director to coordinate calendar events and programing
Administrative Responsibilities
- Client centered consultation with community providers
- Attendance and participation at clinical presentations
- Use of supervision or consultation when required or needed
- All Progress Notes, treatment plans, assessments will be entered into the medical record as soon as possible but in no more than three business days of the date of service for progress notes
- Compliance with all Policy and Procedures
- Maintain productivity goals and keep weekly schedule current
- Participate in Community Related Services as appropriate
Art Therapy Responsibilities
- Assess client needs, using drawing, music, painting, sculpting, theater, movement, or other expressive processes-based interventions.
- Conduct creative or expressive art therapy sessions providing guided self-expression experiences to help participants feel an increased sense of wellbeing, connection, improved self-esteem, and empathy for others.
- Establish therapeutic goals or objectives for creative or expressive art therapy sessions in consultation with the Clinical Supervisor or Director.
- Request purchase or gather materials for in-studio for sessions.
- If skilled, conduct workshops on techniques of using art in therapeutic relationships in Teaching Artists, interns, volunteers and staff or partner organizations.
- Will be the lead in programing for after school programs and community events
Qualifications
- Clinically related graduate degree
- Two years’ clinical experience
- Three professional references that reflect ability to perform clinical work
- Achieve LCSW/LCPC licensure within 6 months of hire
