Behind the Design is seeking a dynamic and driven General Manager to lead our client's innovative and design forward workroom in Sacramento CA. If you have a passion for sales, an eye for quality, and a knack for managing people and processes, we want you on our team!
What is Offered / Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $75k
- Performance Bonus Structure: Earn potential between $85-100k in year 1.
- Benefits: PTO, holidays, net profit bonus, sales performance bonus, and misc. commissions based on sales account management.As the General Manager, you will be pivotal in driving our company's growth and profitability by leading a dedicated team, enhancing our sales and marketing efforts, and ensuring the highest quality in our products and services.
This unique opportunity allows you to rebuild a company after a leadership transition and independently manage working with a CEO as an investor role. In other words, the buck stops with you!
What You'll Do Daily / Responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing Management
- Spearhead the sales process for "big money" and referral accounts.
- Generate new leads and expand our client base.
- Oversee all marketing initiatives to keep our brand top of mind.
- Set and meet ambitious sales and lead goals monthly and annually.
HR & Team Leadership
- Build a diverse team of sales, operations, and workroom staff.
- Ensure the facility runs smoothly, from hiring and firing to training and coaching.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Financial Management
- Oversee P&L with a keen eye, working alongside our bookkeeper.
- Develop and maintain budgets to ensure the financial health of the business.
- Aim for a minimum net profit while driving growth and profitability.
Project & Office Management
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from ordering and status updates to scheduling fabrication and installations.
- Ensure top-notch quality control in the workroom.
- Be the go-to person for any project-related questions or issues.
