POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of People Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources function, including talent acquisition, performance management, team member engagement, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development. This role will play a critical part in shaping Gable’s culture, driving team member satisfaction, and supporting our strategic business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Collaborate closely with the executive management team to align HR initiatives with business goals.
- Lead and manage the People Operations team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on all HR-related matters and provide coaching and assistance to executives and managers to improve team members’ engagement and development.
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Oversee the recruitment process to attract, hire, and retain a talented and diverse workforce.
- Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
- Design and manage performance management systems to drive high performance and development. Integrate contemporary performance management theories and practices such as continuous feedback and agile performance management.
- Implement data-driven approaches to track and improve team member performance.
Team member Engagement and Culture:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects Gable’s values.
- Develop and implement team member engagement initiatives to boost morale and productivity.
- Conduct regular team member surveys and feedback sessions to gauge satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead initiatives to improve work-life balance, recognition programs, and employee wellness.
Learning and Development:
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance team member skills and career growth.
- Identify and address organizational development needs to support the company's strategic goals.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
HR Operations and Compliance:
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to compensation and benefits.
- Oversee HR systems and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs using market analysis and insights.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payment of wages.
- Manage relationships with payroll service providers and benefits vendors.
- Administer benefits programs including health, dental, life, ST/LT disability, flexible spending accounts, and 401k.
- Oversee legal compliance programs including certified payroll, EEO, AAP, diversity, and sexual harassment.
- Manage personnel files, safety records, and OSHA compliance.
- Manage team member relations and handle workplace issues or conflicts.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.At least 7 years of experience in HR, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.Proven history of developing and implementing successful HR strategies.Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.Experience with HRIS and other HR technology systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer.Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to ten pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment includes both office settings and manufacturing facilities.
This role may involve occasional exposure to factory conditions such as noise, fumes, dust, and mist.TRAVELThis position requires occasional travel via all modes of transportation. Overnight travel with a duration of one week may be required.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSAll prospective team members must pass a criminal background check and drug test. Candidates must also meet the requirements for an I-9 and E-Verify.SALARYSalary is commensurate with education and experience.
