Job Summary
The Client Insurance Coordinator is responsible for assisting established Josselyn clients with any changes to their insurance by obtaining client’s complete and accurate patient demographic, financial information, and insurance (eligibility and/or verification), as well as assist in front desk coverage as needed.
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Insurance verification of Medicaid and Private insurance clients.
- Check and monitor the insurance verification email to answer questions from clients and clinicians.
- Reach out to clients with deductible and copay information as needed.
- Assist clients with self-pay rates based off Josselyn's sliding fee scale.
- Answer client inquiries about deductibles and copays.
- Every 90 days reverify private insurance and Medicare clients.
- Assist the front desk with same day verification of new client insurances.
- Learn Front Desk Policies to assist as back up when needed.
Qualifications
- Detail oriented with an insurance knowledge background - Mental Health Insurance experience is a plus!
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn Agency billing software
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
