About Meet The People (A Holding Company for VSA)


Meet The People, a dynamic and rapidly growing advertising holding group with over 800 talented professionals, is seeking a seasoned and enthusiastic Senior Director of Sales & Marketing. This is an internal Sales and Marketing role designed to help lead the agency group's new business acquisition efforts. This person will help lead the development and execution of digital marketing plans that generate sales leads for the MTP group of agencies and drive our business growth. Your primary directive is to target and meet sales goals while staying within the budget you participated in creating and managing.

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing leader with over 8 years of experience in advertising agency sales and marketing space, who possesses strong leadership skills, a proactive "can do" attitude, and an inherent hustle mindset. This position would be physically located out of our Portsmouth, NH offices with some travel to other Meet The People office locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies that align with Meet The People’s goals and objectives.
  • Lead and inspire a team of four specialists focused on research, strategy, marketing automation, and sales database management.
  • Team Management:
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development.

Sales Skills:


  • Proven work experience as a business to business Acquisition Manager, Salesperson, or similar role with an understanding of sales and marketing performance metrics of advertising agencies.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to the senior management team.
  • Digital Marketing Execution:
  • Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, search engines, and content marketing.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign performance.
  • Sales Lead Generation:
  • Design and manage initiatives to generate and nurture high-quality sales leads.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment on lead generation goals and strategies.
  • Marketing Automation and Database Management:
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of marketing automation platforms.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the sales database, facilitating effective lead tracking and reporting.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Direct market research efforts to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape insights.
  • Translate research findings into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, creative, and account management, to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Communicate marketing plans, progress, and results to senior leadership.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in sales and marketing within an advertising agency.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team.
  • Proficient in marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a "can do" attitude and a strong sense of urgency and hustle.

Package:


  • Competitive salary based on experience Salary range: $110K - $140kK and performance bonus opportunity
  • Location: Portsmouth office based (partly working from home is an option based on the business needs)
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time as needed (US/Canada)
