GXM is looking for a dynamic, culture-driven, full-time, exempt Human Resources Manager/Recruiter to work in Arlington, Virginia. This role supports a fast-paced technology development company with staff in multiple states and growing. This position will work onsite in Arlington, VA a minimum of two days per week and per the team’s needs.Previous experience with federal contracting and an entrepreneurial environment is desired. We are looking for a genuine people-person who will actively engage with and support our team members in their project roles.
This role will also be responsible for all recruiting functions. Technical recruiting experience is required. Daily, you will source, vet, and prepare candidates for the internal interview process. Your professional and efficient approach with our candidates will establish a first impression of who we are as a team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives team member engagement programs and initiatives
- Oversees and manages day-to-day HR activities
- Develops HR strategy for the company in concert with the CFO and Support Team
- Oversees the onboarding and offboarding process for all team members to ensure smooth transitions
- Source candidates from various recruiting platforms
- Candidate management which includes communication, tracking, and scheduling
- Work closely with Project Leads on candidate pipelines
- Tracks training and professional development across the entire company including requests and completion, making suggestions when needed
- Assists with Payroll process and compensation updates
- Prepares annual EEO-1 and VETS 4212 reports for submission to government
- Manages and updates the AAP as required
- Maintains personnel files and used confidentiality on all matters
- Conducts investigations as needed for company issues
- Collaborates with Admin Leads on personnel issues and files appropriate documentation
- Provides HR Policy guidance and keeps the company Employee Handbook up to date including state addendums
- Offers performance management guidance to all company leaders
- Collaborates with vendors on benefits products
- Plans and supports company functions for both in-person and remote team members to promote collaboration and facilitate employee gatherings.
- Ensures compliance with Federal, state, and local laws
- Works in tandem with leadership to execute human resources strategies
- Researches application of employment law in concert with corporate attorneys and other vendors
- Works on ad-hoc assignments as needed; special projects
- Self-Starter and can implement projects from cradle to grave
- Provides support in coordinating employee business travel.
- Supports resolution of GXM team member emergency issues after hours/weekends/etc. based on timeliness of the issue
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in HR field and supervision
- Experience in the Federal government contracting space, specifically with OFCCP compliance
- PC-based strong familiarity and usage
- Experience with HRIS/ATS system (Paylocity strongly preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail in writing and verbal communications
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Member of SHRM
- Previous experience in Technical Recruiting required
- Experience recruiting for a federal contractor
- Ability to build rapport with candidates
- Strong organizational skills in team and independent work environments
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to track and schedule multiple recruiting efforts
- US citizenship is required
DESIRED:
- Masters in Human Resource Management
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.)
- Previous experience in a start-up / virtual work culture
