Sales Engineer
Job Description
As a Sales Engineer, you will present IronEdge Group offerings and vision to executives and technical contributors. You will work hands-on with prospects and clients to demonstrate and communicate the value of our services throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation. The Sales Engineer will immerse themselves in the industry, maintaining an understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position IronEdge Group in relation to them.
This requires experience creating compelling value-based demonstrations that solve complex problems and ultimately close deals. You will conduct timely customer infrastructure assessments onsite and/or remotely and write technical proposals with a scope of work. The Sales Engineer will also collaborate with Professional Services, Client Success and Marketing to continuously improve our operations and standing within our market, prospects, and customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable in both a business and technical context, interacting with executives and technical audiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience within a pre-sale’s environment
- Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.
- Broad range of experience within network/wireless, phone, Microsoft cloud application office suite & security infrastructure topologies. How to take these solutions from the hands of an internal team to our managed services team.
- Hands-on expertise with scoping infrastructure footprints and making recommendations on offerings.
- Ability to connect a customer's specific business problems and Iron Edge Group’s solutions.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required prior to start date for all employees.
