The Opportunity:
TECKpert seeks to hire a Business Management Specialist to support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL. The Business Management Specialist will manage and coordinate various activities related to Advance Planning Documents (APDs) for federal and state programs. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, coordinating meetings, staying updated on relevant policies, and providing compliance education to project teams.
Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Manage and update APDs and related documentation in line with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS CMS) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA FNS) guidelines.
- Facilitate meetings for information gathering, analysis, and APD finalization.
- Maintain awareness of CMS HHS and USDA FNS policies and standards and educate project teams on compliance.
- Participate in procurement and cost allocation processes.
- Report status updates to program leadership.
- Collect, review, and prepare documentation for approval.
Location
This is an
on-site position. Candidates must be located in or near Tallahassee, Florida.
Compensation and Term:
This is a full-time, contract position with potential extensions. Compensation varies with experience, up to $135,000. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance are available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications You Need:
The successful Business Management Specialist should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Public Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in developing Advance Planning Documents.
- Minimum of three (3) years of state government/public sector experience with health and human services programs (e.g., Medicaid, MMIS, SNAP).
- Knowledge of government regulations related to APD writing.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Experience in managing multiple priorities/projects including scope, schedules, quality, change management, and project financials.
- Prior experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager.
