Social Media Assistant


to fill a permanent, part-time evening and weekend client-facing position within our Research and Intelligence team. The successful candidate will report to the Social Media Lead, Briefings Manager and Director and will be responsible for the duties outlined below.This successful candidate will be responsible for tagging and organizing social media posts on behalf of a client using the Sprinklr platform. In addition, they need to create and send regular reports and email updates to the client and co-workers.

They are expected to adhere to the client’s social media strategies, branding and strategic messaging. The incumbent needs to have a thorough understanding of how public relations efforts are amplified via social media. This position requires consistent supervision of the platform for the full duration of their shift. The employee is expected to be present on the portal and provide a timely turnaround on specific actions, as determined by the client. The role requires a highly organized, self-motivated person who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilitiesin a remote-work environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively communicate and collaborate with both internal and external contacts.

This role requires in-person training in our Moncton, NB office. Following that it is a remote position. The shifts are Monday and Friday 4:00-10:00pm; Saturday 10:00am-10:00pm Atlantic Time Zone

At times, the position could include more hours or other shifts if back-up is needed. 


Responsibilities:


  • Categorize social media posts for the client following established guidelines.
  • Send updates to the client and other team members via email.
  • Coordinate how to handle specific posts as directed by the client or other team members.
  • Flag posts of interest for the client, including noteworthy, positive and potentially troublesome posts.
  • Provide regular and reliable communication (via email, Teams and text) with the client and team.
  • Assist other team members as needed (increased post volume, covering the portal while other duties are performed, for vacations or sick days).

Requirements:


  • Able to work from home with a reliable internet connection.
  • Experience using social media platforms. 
  • Must be able to work independently, be reliable and dependable.
  • Able to respond to client or coworker requests in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including attention to detail, are required. 
  • In addition to being able to multitask, good analysis and decision-making skills are required.

Assets:


  • Experience with Sprinklr.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Post-secondary education or currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Bilingualism (French).
