Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain 13-week cash flow models to accurately forecast cash positions.
Develop and maintain integrated, standard three statement projection financial models.
Analyze financial statement information, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and key operational data, to support decision-making processes.
Construct and manage liquidation models, including various scenarios to evaluate different outcomes.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of general ledgers, including deriving income statements and balance sheets, and demonstrate the ability to create forecasts based upon this data.
Understand and analyze standard costs and manufacturing variances, providing insights and solutions.
Create and maintain a Creditor Composition Matrix for effective stakeholder management.
Formulate fact-based conclusions by applying sound business judgment and critical thinking.
Provide expert advice and develop solutions for a diverse range of challenges related to underperforming, distressed, or bankrupt businesses.
Assist with bankruptcy reporting both in and out of court, communicating with courts, U.S. Trustees, creditors’ committees, and other stakeholders.
Conduct comprehensive research, analyze large complex data sets, and synthesize findings into coherent reports, presentations, pitch decks, and other client-facing deliverables.
Foster strong partnerships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering high-quality projects that meet or exceed expectations.
Collaborate with project team members to manage various workstreams and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
Qualifications:
4-5 years of expertise in the turnaround field, investment banking, workouts, or management consulting.
Excellent financial modeling skills and ability to utilize advanced financial modeling skillset to develop clean sheet Excel financial models (13-week cash flow, three statement projections).
Strong analytical skills, i.e., ability to quickly understand complex business issues, creative problem solving, quantitative analysis, workflow processes, etc.
Familiarity/experience with data and data analysis tools (such as, but not limited to Alteryx, tableau, Power BI, etc.)
General knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles and related terminology.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding environment;
Comfortable working in stressful and ambiguous situations.
Ability to travel up to 80%.
