About the role
We’re looking for our first FP&A manager to join our small, but mighty Finance Team. In this role, you will report directly to our Head of Finance and play a crucial part in shaping the financial future of Semgrep. As Semgrep’s FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning. You will work closely with the various department heads to help drive key business decisions by providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.As the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

- Our expectation is that this role will be based in the Bay Area with the ability to come into our San Francisco office 1-2 days a week.

What you’ll do
- Drive effective cross-functional working relationships, working with department heads to create key financial metrics and perform monthly financial reviews
- Manage annual and quarterly planning and budgeting processes to facilitate capital allocation and ensure strategic resource alignment across the company
- Lead and implement a planning system
- Build analytical model (e.g., revenue waterfalls, commission forecast, attrition-included payroll prediction)
- Engage on a variety of ad hoc projects which could include: commission planning, attrition-based forecasting, G2K penetration, GL review, and accounting determinations
You are ideal for this role if you have:
- 8+ years of relevant SaaS experience in finance or analytics
- Extensive experience in financial planning & analysis and financial modeling
- Proficiency with financial systems; in particular enterprise grade ERP, Planning & Analysis, and BI
- Analytical thinker with a passion for using data to solve business problems
- Charismatic storyteller, lover of building relationships and collaborating in a cross-functional environment
- Results-oriented problem solver with strong business judgment and the ability to communicate risks and opportunities
Compensation
Salary Range: $136,000 - $160,000Our compensation package includes equity and benefits in addition to salary.Please note that the range listed is for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
