The Opportunity:
TECKpert seeks to hire a Project Manager to support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and completion while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The Project Manager will lead project teams, manage resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Create project templates, processes, and approval procedures in compliance with Florida Administrative Code.
- Review and validate project data to ensure accuracy.
- Develop and review business requirements and traceability matrices.
- Build and lead project teams, assigning tasks and setting goals.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding project progress and changes.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Create and manage project budgets, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Monitor and adjust project timelines as needed.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Define and manage project scope to align with goals and objectives.
- Address and resolve project issues and conflicts.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Handle changes per client's policy, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Location
This is an
on-site position. Candidates must be located in or near Tallahassee, Florida.
Compensation and Term:
This is a full-time, contract position with potential extensions. Compensation varies with experience, up to $135,000. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance are available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications You Need:
The successful Senior Project Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Communication or other related field.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Five (5) years of professional experience in Information Systems, Business Administration, or Communications.
- Ability to identify and remediate issues.
- Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines.
- Attention to detail and consistency of work output.
- Ability to develop and implement project plans.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in primary and secondary technical research.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and Excel.
- Knowledge of principles and processes in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.
- Knowledge of current trends and State of Florida initiatives in management information systems.
- Ability to communicate IT issues effectively with non-technical users.
- Ability to work in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid processes.
