Additional role description


This role will be reporting to our global head of product, building the team of credit and lending from 0-1, and enabling businesses to have seamless experiences.

Responsibilities 



  • As a Product Director you will be responsible for leading high-impact projects from ideation to launch

  • Creating more delightful user experiences for businesses when they set up, monitor, and operate their online stores with Airwallex online payments

  • Building robust clearing and settlement mechanisms that ensure businesses have full visibility over their expected cash flow and protect Airwallex from financial risks

  • Improving Airwallex's reporting capabilities to streamline reconciliation processes for businesses and allowing them to fully optimize the online payments operations

Requirements 



  • 8 to 15 years of overall professional experience 

  • 4+ years of formal people management experience

  • Experience in product management, go-to-market propositions, product design, product planning and development

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline is preferred

  • Evidence of exemplary academic achievements (e.g. high GPA, Dean's list, scholarship etc.) 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey product strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experiences in working with credit/ lending institutions, working on underwriting engine is strong preferred

  • Close attention to detail, ability to structure complex problems and inform decisions with data and first-principle insights

  • Drive, grit, and persistence to take ownership and move ideas to reality in short periods of time

  • Ability to thrive in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams

  • ​​Experience in any of the following is a plus: hyper growth startup environments, software engineering, financial technology

  • Solid technical understanding and ability to engage in architectural discussions with engineering teams

  • Working experiences with enterprise customers is preferred
