About the Role: This position requires the individual to have a permanent remote office based within a 4-hour drive or 2-hour flight to the Oxford Atlanta HQ, and the ability to travel as needed (approx 10%).
This position supports the Tax Department primarily and foremost within indirect tax compliance and GAAP tax accounting. Responsibilities may include sales tax, property tax, local licensing, and unclaimed property, state and local tax registrations, occasional assistance with and income tax preparation, and basic tax research in all tax areas.
- Support the monthly Sales Tax/GST/VAT compliance process for non-complex entities:
- Secure data from various subsidiary’s AR systems and SAP
- Reconcile data against general ledger activity
- Compile and analyzing supporting workpapers
- Return preparation
- Return filing and remittance
- Preparing journal entries after filing
- Maintain and update tax rate schedules by location.
- Gather supporting information for audits.
- Local Licensing
- Maintain calendar / checklist and process all domestic renewals on a timely basis
- Prepare registrations for new locations and remote employees
- Support the Property Tax compliance process for all domestic locations:
- Securing data required for return preparation,
- Maintenance of new locations and document compliance requirements,
- Return preparation utilizing PTMS and submission to appropriate jurisdictions
- Maintenance of projected tax database for accounting based on expected assessed value, and reconciliation of discrepancies between rendition and assessment.
- Monitor payment due date schedule to assure timely receipt and payment of bills.
- Reconcile and analyze fixed assets for appropriate treatment for calculations, tax depreciation, and tax reporting.
- Research basic state and local issues for all tax types.
- Participate in special projects related to Indirect Tax and possibly Income Tax.

Who we would like to meet:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 1 + years of accounting, tax or related experience
- Preferred prior accounting and/or tax experience with general ledger reconciliations and Thomson Reuters OneSource.
- Required proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Analysis, Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SAP.
