Job Description
The Warehouse Shipping Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing and participating in the daily operations of the warehouse. The Warehouse Shipping Supervisor works Monday through Friday, 1:30pm-10pm with rotating Saturdays.
Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for the role are:
- Oversee all shipping activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Review daily workload for the shipping of the warehouse and coordinate with staff and manager to ensure successful completion.
- Ensure staff is properly trained and proficient in all warehouse tasks and safety procedures.
- Receive quotes for all outbound freight shipments. Properly document outbound freight and prepare it for shipping. Make sure all freight is shipped per policy and procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensures all Amazon Prime orders are picked, shipped, and separated by 2 pm.
- Review timecards on a daily and weekly basis to ensure employees are properly clocking in and out of job responsibilities correctly.
- Monitor and order supplies as needed.
- Perform all tasks assigned to you in a timely manner.
- Provide leadership, direction and correction to Warehouse Crew Members.
- Work rotating Saturdays, as needed.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Experience in distribution center environment required.
- Experience in a Supervisor/leadership role is required.
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. repeatedly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, climb ladders, push/pull heavy carts continuously during their shift.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist and reach over their head while pushing and pulling boxes weighing 30 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for entire shift.
- Must possess good attendance and performance record.
- Must be able to manage labor and workload.
- Computer skills.
