About The Role:
Betr is looking to add an Accounting Manager to our accounting/finance team, which will report directly into our Controller. Our ideal candidate is a CPA with Big Four accounting experience and enjoys working on new and challenging opportunities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This individual should have a deep understanding of accounting processes and will actively participate in improving the Company’s accounting policies and procedures.This role is based in Miami, Florida. You must be based in this area or be willing to relocate to be considered for this position.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close processes and preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Prepare financial reports for senior management, investors, and other key stakeholders
- Perform account reconciliations and monthly balance sheet and income statement analytics
- Prepare reports for external auditors and gaming regulators
- Document and maintain a system of controls, policies, and procedures over month-end activities
- Collaborate with various personnel and departments to collect information needed to complete month-end close tasks and ensure appropriate accounting treatment
- Review journal entries, tax filings, and reconciliations prepared by the accounting associate and provide feedback as needed.
- Review and reconcile 3rd party reports including AP, cash, payment processing activity, credit card transactions, etc.
- Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
- 4-8 years experience; preferably with experience at a Big Four Accounting Firm
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and standard accounting processes and controls
- Experience with financial systems ERP systems; NetSuite preferred
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior leaders, external partners and internal staff
- Detailed and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including solid Excel skills
