Account Associate
Position Summary
Ask anyone at Pareto Health who the unsung heroes are, and nine times out of 10 “the account management team” will be the swift and heartfelt response. Account Associates at Pareto support a team of Account Managers who act as the primary liaison for Pareto’s growing client base and help connect vetted consultants to innovative benefits financing and cost management solutions. Together, we serve mid-sized employers looking for a better way.We are currently seeking multiple account associates to join our closely-knit team in either Philadelphia, PA or Salt Lake City, UT.
Account Associates report directly to the Assistant Vice President of Account Management and are responsible for managing various client communications, supporting renewal initiatives, tracking all necessary documentation and deadlines, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure Pareto Health’s 97% member retention rate holds steady for another 10 years.Competitive candidates will be smart, personable, quantitative, and detail oriented. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our partners and Pareto Health employees to drive successful Implementation and maintenance of the healthcare arrangement as well as cost containment initiatives for new clients
- Work closely with the Account Manager to manage post-implementation relationships with broker partners, sales team, and clients
- Manage key communication between the stop loss carriers and brokers/clients to ensure coverage is successfully in place with all Members.
- Demonstrate or possess the ability to learn how to evaluate and understand the various types of self-funded claims reporting from the Third-Party Administrators. Can successfully convey messaging regarding required reporting between carrier partners, brokers, and TPAs.
- Review quotes from carriers for accuracy and can accurately put together and release member renewals.
- Understand and articulate how the Pareto Captive product works, including what various cost containment programs are available to members. Understand and has the ability to reiterate the Underwriting requirements written in our legal documents by captive program
- Demonstrates the ability to analyze claims and large claims reporting for purposes of articulating a groups level of risk to both internal and external constituents. Offers support in initial renewal renewal underwriting tools to accurately input data to successfully assess overall risk and appropriate renewal action for each Member. Can identify when additional information may be needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 0+ years’ experience in a client facing account management role
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Has a hunger for learning and retains information successfully
- Must be able to work on multiple projects at once, have a high attention to detail, and ability to accomplish large volumes of work with minimal supervision is required
- Bachelor’s degree required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods
- Ability to work nights and weekends on occasion as business needs may dictate
