About the Senior Accountant Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.The successful candidate for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by facing and solving new problems we will face while executing our ambitious vision.
You will help build critical processes that focus on streamlining integrations and quality control. You are able to take a strategic approach to help us grow, while also diving into the details of an operationally complex business.
Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled on a regular basis.
- Oversee contracts and prepaids to better forecast yearly costs
- Oversee Ramp, Saltbox’s credit card and expense program.
- Prepare and review journal entries and ensure proper documentation and approval.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax documents and compliance with tax regulations, including payroll tax, property tax, income tax, and franchise tax and business licenses
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function.
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures.
- Utilize accounting software and other tools to streamline operations and improve reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Requirements
- You hold a 4-year bachelor's degree in Accounting and have a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role, demonstrating your expertise in managing financial operations and leading teams.
- Your strong communication skills enable you to build and maintain relationships with your team, colleagues, and external stakeholders, positioning you as a helpful partner who aims for successful outcomes through effective collaboration and clear, concise communication.
- You possess a proactive and curious mindset, constantly taking the initiative to innovate and improve operational processes, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of industry best practices.
- Your experience in high-growth, operationally complex environments has equipped you with the ability to adapt quickly and manage financial challenges effectively, making you an invaluable asset in fast-paced settings.
- You have a strong familiarity with NetSuite, leveraging its capabilities to enhance financial reporting, streamline operations, and provide strategic insights that drive business performance

Base Salary: $80,000 - 100,000 and generous stock options.
