JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Analyst – Buyer/Planner involves supporting various Supply Chain activities, including but not limited to demand planning and scheduling, procurement of materials and services, vendor management, and monitoring the flow of goods and services within our organization. Ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and effective cost management are vital for the company's success and represent the core priorities of the Supply Chain Analyst – Planner/Buyer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work with Supply Chain personnel and subject matter experts to convert and communicate demand requirements for products and services into detailed plans and schedules for inventory acquisition and execution.
- Have detailed knowledge of product definition, inventory control, materials requirements, capacity requirements, shop floor control, warehousing, transportation, and purchasing business functions.
- Demonstrate consistent delivery of products and services to meet customer needs effectively.
- Support strategic objectives that focus on areas of quality, cost, flexibility, productivity, and speed
- Negotiate price and delivery terms with suppliers to minimize material cost, inventory levels, and transportation costs.
- Oversee the purchasing cycle, which involves generating requisitions, creating purchase orders, following up on purchase orders, and processing final
- Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers, utilizing a system that monitors, measures, and offers feedback on supplier performance.
- Assist the Supply Chain department in developing strategies to mitigate the financial impact of uncertainties, such as fluctuations in yields, timing, pricing, and unforeseen events, through methods like dual sourcing, buffering, forward buying, and others.
- Establish and maintain robust relationships with all suppliers, fostering open and effective two-way communication channels.
- Responsible for managing purchase order changes, tracking follow-ups, and ensuring delivery accuracy.
- Ensures efficient operation of the Kanban Replenishment Tool, Kanban process, and MRP/ERP management.

- Occasionally required to work in a BSL 2 environment with personal protective equipment/aseptic gowning
