This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA).
OVERVIEW:
The Quantitative Research Analyst will be a member of Glenmede's quantitative equity team which is responsible for managing over $3 billion of clients' active quantitatively based equity portfolios. The Research Analyst reports to the Head of Quantitative Research.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quantitative data developer
- Maintaining and reoptimizing multi-factor stock selection models
- Preparing reports and charts
- Performing quantitative research and analysis to enhance existing strategies, including factor research.
- Developing quantitative investment tools
- Assisting investment teams in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives aimed at expanding capabilities, creating solutions to unmet business needs, improving client experience, or developing more efficient processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computational or analytical field
- 1 to 5 years of experience in investment analysis and data management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CFA or CFA candidate preferred
- Hands on experience with data collection and analysis, testing, prototyping, backtesting, and performance monitoring
- Passionate about financial markets and behavioral biases
- Exposure to the following financial applications: Northfield, Barra, Axioma, MATLAB, FactSet, Bloomberg, Charles River
- Interest in ESG investing
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
- Initiative-taker, enthusiastic, able to engender confidence
- Dynamic team orientation, able to build internal and external networks
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate follow-up capabilities with solid attention to detail
