Case Clerk Intern:
C-HIT is seeking to provide case administration internships in the Medicare Appeals and Rebuttals program. This position is ideal for students that are pursuing a degree in business, liberal arts, or a pre-law program that is looking to learn more about contracting, Medicare, and/or administrative appeals processes.
Duties include:
• Acknowledge and process appeals and rebuttals in a professional and timely manner• Complete forms pertinent to submitted provider appeals and rebuttals.• Preparing case files and organizing exhibits• Support Case Analysts with drafting dismissal determination letters• Sends clearly written detailed correspondence to providers• Support compliance with CMS guidelinesRole will include practical experience, professional training, and direct engagement with experienced professionals and leadership in the team.
Qualifications:
• Minimum Education: currently matriculating in pursuit of a 2-4 year degree• Desired major(s), minors, concentration or certification: Pre-law, political science, paralegal• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication• Highly organized, with analytical mindset and attention to detail• Strong commitment to customer service and understanding and responding to customer needs• Desire to proactively learn and understand entire appeals and rebuttals process• Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office suite products, including Excel and Outlook
