POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products meet the established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. The Quality Manager develops, implements, and maintains quality management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards including customer requirements or industry standards
- Ensure that the QMS is effectively integrated into all operational processes.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the quality assurance activities, including inspections, audits, and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and standards
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste and reduce variability.
Training and Development:
- Train and mentor quality staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure that all employees are aware of quality requirements and objectives.
Customer Focus:
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer concerns and complaints.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions to address customer feedback and improve customer satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Stay updated with changes in regulations and standards affecting the manufacturing industry.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including records of inspections, audits, and test results.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality standards.
Other Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Familiar with ERP systems and proficient with Microsoft office packages (excel, word, PowerPoint etc.)

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQM, Six Sigma Black Belt) is preferred.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses tools and other such equipment during the course of the job duties. Provided Personal Protective Equipment, as well as steel-toed boots or shoes, must be worn at all times.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; and stoop
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Some limited travel will be required. Up to 10%.
