About Our Search
We are looking for a talented and experienced Design Architect to join our Senior Living | Affordable Housing market sector. Our next team member will have excellent communication, design, graphic and visualization skills. We are seeking an individual who will collaborate with the whole team (and the Design Architects in our Housing | Mixed Use | Planning market sector), working to develop design concepts and providing ongoing oversight to ensure that the design intent is preserved and executed throughout the project and to completion.
About The Position
- Develop design concepts, narratives, 3D renderings, virtual reality presentations, etc. as needed to effectively convey design intent to clients
- Lead design-focused visioning sessions and presentations to clients, community groups, jurisdictional groups, architectural review boards, etc.
- Coordinate with interior designers, landscape architects, lighting designers and other consultant team members to facilitate successful integration of their design efforts with ours
- Collaborate, motivate, and communicate clearly and effectively with other team members
- Foster team building and mentor less-experienced colleagues
- Develop concept and schematic design drawings for our award-winning portfolio of Senior Living and Affordable Housing residential, recreational, hospitality, leisure, dining, and wellness projects.
- Create technical detail sketches and recommend material selections for inclusion in construction drawings and specifications
About You
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture required
- Has achieved, or is actively pursuing, professional licensure.
- 7-15 years of experience in the architectural field
- Effective communication skills
- Extensive design portfolio, preferably with multifamily mixed-use, senior living and/or affordable housing project experience
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Strong design leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise others
- Sets an example for team members through the spirit of cooperation
- Excellent knowledge of design software such as Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion or Enscape
