About the role:
As a
Senior
Technical Writer
your development activities at the Cyber Operations Branch program office adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). SAFe offers proven, integrated principles, practices, and competencies to implement lead, agile, and DevOps at scale. Additionally, this program office personifies DevSecOps which automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initial design, through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery. These development efforts shall result in two deployable defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to USSF mission systems.
you will review, plan, and evaluate network communications systems. Provide documentation/project tracking and management reporting. Provide tactical and strategic input on overall network communications planning and related projects. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
What we are looking for:
- Ten plus years' experience as a Technical Writer
- Experience writing software development release notes, documentation configuration management, technical document creation and editing
- Ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team and an eagerness to learn how to advocate for end-users.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and empathy.
- Solid communication skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
Highly preferred:
- A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.
- SAFe for Teams Certification
- Familiar with Sketch, FIGMA, InVision, Visio, Docusaurus, Adobe Creative Suite
- Planning and participating in early-stage discovery, framing, and ideation
- An initial understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in an Agile environment.
- A foundational understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and activities
- Involvement in delivering user experience interactions
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
- Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Secret security clearance

- May require up to 10% travel
Salary Range:
- $85,000 - $110,000
- The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
