We are looking to add a Graphic Production Manager to our Kansas City team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and timeliness of graphic production in KC. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, expertise in Adobe software, a keen eye for detail and a working knowledge of large format digital printing. You will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Graphic Production. Position does require being onsite full time. Salary is $60-65000. THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION. Hours will typically be 11am-8pmCST but can fluctuate depending on business.
What you’ll do:
- Work with 1st shift to maintain a continuous production schedule.
- Review orders for potential production issues and work with account management teams/designers to find acceptable solutions.
- Proactively manage all assigned tickets, ensuring the schedule accommodates high-volume periods.
- Download and process print ready files from remote designers in a RIP to printer environment.
- Troubleshoot minor design errors and make small adjustments to ensure high print quality.
- Finalize setup in RIP software to print and cut on various equipment.
- Communicate daily tasks to shift members and monitor progress to ensure tasks are being completed in a timely manner.
- Reassign tasks as needed to balance workload and meet production targets.
- Provide guidance and support to the team, maintaining a set of best practices.
- Able to troubleshoot printing problems, determining if they can be handled in-house or if outside assistance is required.
- Maintain high standards of quality by reviewing proofs against finished product.
- Work well with various departments outside of production, including sales staff, remote designers, and warehouse, throughout the course of production.
- Be able to clearly convey issues with others that might not have production knowledge.
Who You Are:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Experience in large format printing and production preferred.
- Experience with Onyx RIP software a plus.
- Ability to be flexible in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
